Question by Alex Paryzer: What are your short term goals in high school? Where do you see yourself 10 years from now?
Can someone give me an example of your short term goals that you’ve done in high school? And where do you see yourself 10 years from now.

Holy crap, what a retarded question. I would beat the crap out of someone who asked me that in high-school – how in the hell could you know?

High-school goals to tell a grown-up:

-Get an A average.
-Become the quarterback/captain/lead player of a chosen sports team that the school values.
-Become valedictorian/important student/president of an important club.

High-school goals to -really- have:

-Get wasted and shag lots of girls, but make sure they don’t get knocked up!
-play hooky but take the tests and get good marks anyways.
-Avoid the losers, don’t get into fights, don’t get sick from the awful cafeteria food.

In 10 years?

-Hopefully on a beach somewhere with no memory WHATSOEVER of your highschool years!!! HA!

Systems on a daily basis you to your goals and your willingness to remember them. Read to keep the incentive offer, use of photographs or other personal memories of motivation flowing. 2 Baby Steps Big, ambitious goals are big, but we need to know how to get from here to there. You may have to break large or complex tasks into manageable pieces and tackle them one at a time. Divide and Conquer. 3 Delayed gratification / reward system A large part of the theory of self-improvement is a focus on the payoff in the end. The desired result. But we must also celebrate the small successes along the way. Just as we must have a system of motivation, we have a system to reward yourself. 4 Dates Sometimes a self-imposed deadline can be a great motivation. But if the time limit imposed itself is sufficiently motivated, we believe that there will be a penalty for failing to meet the deadline. 5 Accountability Partners / Support Team .

If we keep our goals and aspirations for ourselves, we allow ourselves to justify our lack of progress or lack of concentration when we tell others, they remind us if we are not on track or excuses. Be careful who you choose in the quest for an accountability partner or member of your support team. Some will sail into the air each step, while some never disagree with you. You need someone to encourage you to give your best wishes, but also speak openly to you, if not the best results.

6 is . All-In We can set goals and make plans, day in and day out, but if we do not have a real interest in the game, we are not willing to go all out to achieve these goals. Especially if two or more persons are on a common goal, each person has a strong personal reason for their commitment, or they can not stretch the necessary effort. 7th Track your progress To motivate yourself, you should be able to know that you are making progress. Track your successes and your setbacks. Celebrate your successes and learn from your mistakes. To see if you pursue goals and outcomes over time, start the pattern. What works well and what does not. What is the best of times or for certain activities? Tracking allows us to make decisions based on performance in the past and better plan for future performance.
