I’m going to be a work at home mom, how do I avoid some of the scams,what legit places are there?

I’ve heard of stuffing envelopes, but I can not distinguish between fraud and legitimate. Has anyone encountered this, what should I check? Please help me out I’ve been looking on the internet and this just can not understand the scams!
