Hosting a website from my own computer
I’m thinking about hosting my own website at home with a normal PC and software, such as appserv. But many people say that such solutions not only good for testing and is safe enough for web hosting. I want to know how safe either on my website hosting service, or other professional solutions to implement such as installation and setup of Windows Server best answer.

basically what people are saying is true. It is not safe to run as a web server from your home computer. If you decide to do this, it is certainly recommended that you dedicated a machine to the web server, so you do not open your desktop computer to security hole consular posts, you will only follow the usually recommended, regardless of security measures, the developers of your webserver . Apache tends to be mild securable web server, although it is probably better are those that relate to safety.
