West Virginia Veterans benefits attorney Jan Dils today expressed a warm welcome home to troops in response to President Obamas formal ending of the Iraq war.

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the government agency that processes disability claims for wounded soldiers, is swimming in a deepening pool of disability claims stemming from the Gulf War, according to a recent McClatchy News Service article.
The VA received 1.3 million claims for disability benefits in 2011. The National Organization of Veterans Advocates estimates that 10,000 new disability claims from Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans are submitted to the VA each month. At this rate, Iraq disability claims may exceed those made by Vietnam War Veterans, the McClatchy report stated.
The VAs overflow problem is not a new one, said Dils, who assists injured Veterans in obtaining disability benefits for physical and mental wounds sustained during the war.
The agency is taking steps to address the issue by hiring more workers, Dils said. In the interim, however, that means that countless numbers of deserving Veterans may be losing out on the benefits they deserve.
Service members returning home from Iraq may have sustained service-related disabilities ranging from traumatic brain injuries (TBI) and hearing loss to post-traumatic stress syndrome (PTSD) and chronic adjustment disorder, Dils said.
Veterans now wait for an average of 188 days before receiving a decision from the VA about their eligibility for disability benefits. Many are denied upon the first application, according to Dils. The error rate in disability decisions is also high at 16 percent, according to a VA review cited in the McClatchy report.
Disabled Veterans can increase their chances of a successful application for benefits with the help of a qualified attorney, Dils said. A Veterans disability benefits lawyer is familiar with all of the complicated requirements and can help compile all of the information needed to increase the likelihood for claimants to receive benefits on the first try.

You also can’t miss any days for the first 30 days or something like that. Which is true of a regular job as well. Also part time was considered 30 hours per week. So either way this job requires a big time commitment.
2.Low Pay: Yes the checks are regular but the exchange is the pay is low. The training pay is minimum wage for your state and then after that it might go up a couple of dollars depending on which job you are on and your time with the company.
3.Zero Noise Tolerance: This one is obvious for a call center position, but for me as a mother 2 really young children at the time, it was nearly impossible to keep them quiet when they were supposed to.

particular date is a Wednesday. I woke up at 8:00 o’clock in the morning and decided a trip to Sandia Mountain, the mountain adjacent to Albuquerque, New Mexico. It is also home to the longest tram line in the world. There is a 2 Mile drive each way by tram. It has been several years since I was on top, and it was such a beautiful day, I just wanted to get out and run a place that would be peaceful and sit where I could, and only on our lives to reflect and concentrate on my goals for the family, as we move foward with this business. I left the house with 10 clock. It has me clear up a few hours before I left and to my emails and then make sure everything runs smoothly with my business. I decided to ride on the street on the east side of the mountain, hoping to see some animals, but then no. It took a good hour and a half to get to the top of the mountain. Once on top, I parked my car and made my way to the lookout point. It was a great place to be able to see for miles in all directions. When I went on the road that leads along the cliffs, I found a place where I could see the tram up and down. While I sat there, I thought back to the time I worked in the corporate world and was so grateful that I’m sitting there at this moment to enjoy the view, instead of putting in an office with all the drama, low wages and mismanagement. I felt like I was on top of the world! I’m also back at the places my wife said she wanted the things they wanted to do as a family to travel. I spent a good hour to just sit, think and take pictures. My daughter and I plan to walk along the west side of Sandia to the famous La Luz Trail in a few weeks. It will likely move us around 4 hours to the top of the mountain. The last time I walked this route in 1995, a few months after my daughter was born. Now my daughter and I plan to do it together. The weather was not too hot or too cold with a nice breeze along the coast. It was at 12.30 clock, when I decided to go back down the mountain. I was in contact with my wife and she suggested we eat together when I come down the mountain for lunch. So when down, I met her for lunch and shared some of the things I thought to enjoy the company of others. It felt like we were on vacation somewhere lunch because it was one of those rare occasions when I worked in the corporate world. So we are on the way home, the time was around 14.00. We got home at 15.00 clock and took an hour nap before our children came home. When she got home, I got up at 4:00 clock and I started the business and have some lessons I completed my undergraduate degree in business administration. Think back to you on this day, I decided to do many other things with my time. I would have gone some fishing, visiting a relative who went to buy a movie, gone, or just stayed home and looked to see movies. Ellie Lund, Purchasing Department Coordinator for Rouse Chamberlin Homes, celebrates her 25th year with the company. She is currently responsible for sending out the start and purchase orders which manages the building process and keeps the entire production schedule on time and on-budget.
“Ellie is one of the reasons that Rouse Chamberlin Homes has its longstanding reputation for quality construction,” observed Rouse Chamberlin President Dave England. “From her first position here as a construction coordinator for our Clover Lea community, her work has kept buyers and our company on track and on budget.”
Ellie’s introduction to the home construction industry came early. Her father, University of Connecticut Professor Frank McCamey, built his own home from scratch. “He wanted to provide a home for our family and, given that money was tight, he did it quite literally. I remember being fourteen years old and straightening bent nails with a hammer, so you can say that it was really a family build.”
Ellie began her career in the home construction industry just months after buying her own Chester County home in 1968, with the custom builder who built that home. After 15 years there, she moved to Century Kitchens for two years before moving to Rouse Chamberlin Homes.
“A lot has changed in the construction industry over the last 25 years,” noted Ellie. “Back then, selections were done on blueprints with red pens. Multiple duplicate paper copies of everything were essential; the volume of paper needed was enormous. Computers and remote access to files have dramatically cut down the amount of physical paper needed to build a home. They have also added incredible efficiencies and reduced our operating costs, as well. We’ve been able to pass those savings on to the buyers.”
“But there is one thing that hasn’t changed in the last 25 years. Construction quality still begins in the planning and inner construction of the home. I’m not a morning person at the best of times, and the combination of very late night and early morning alarm didn’t go exactly as planned. Sunlight was bursting into my room, usually what wakes me before my alarm but after only about 4hrs sleep snuggle pillow got used as impromptu blindfold as I hit snooze 5 or 6 times before getting up.
Mornings like today make me glad I don’t have to rush into an office and make hasty apologies to my boss for not starting work at exactly 9a.
