Very late uploading this one for Day 29, and another last minute (almost) pic of my evening meal last night. I took some chicken breast fillets (10) out of the freezer when I got up in the morning and put them in the fridge to thaw out, then in the evening I put them in this pan with some olive oil for 5 or 10 minutes then added some diced potato & parsnip (parboiled), frozen mixed veg and the contents of a can of low fat condensed soup with an equal amount of semi-skimmed milk. Then left that to simmer for about 25minutes. I had 3 chicken bits for my meal last night and divided the rest up to make another 3 meals.
Anyway, reason I’m so late is because yesterday was another very busy day, and I spent most of it on the computer sorting things out. I’ve been having slowness problems partly down to flickr being slow but also my PC so I did a scan at PC Pitstop which checks on performance, security and stability and lists problems and recommendations, then set about making adjustments etc. I know I need a new PC in the near future as this one is gradually eating up the free space. I also had to do some more work saving material from my AOL website, as AOL are closing all websites and journals on 31st October which is tomorrow! I had already downloaded all the graphics and photos etc., and saved all pages as ‘webpage complete’ but I’m not sure that will work once the websites are closed down, so I’ve copied the 3 or 4 pages I really want a copy of for the text mainly and the layout, so I’ve just been copying stuff and pasting into a WP – lot of work formatting everything. Anyway, that’s pretty well finished now. The sad thing is reading through the AOL forums that relate to website creation and see how many people are in desperation trying to save stuff and find somewhere else to start a new website. AOL don’t seem to care at all about the chaos they have caused, in fact they are now closing AOL Pictures on December 31st and suggesting photos are uploaded to a photo processing site they have linked up with. I don’t have anything on AOL Pictures, I read the T&C and I didn’t want to give AOL total control over my photos! Many people on the forums are saying they only stayed with the “extremely expensive” AOL because of the website space included, now that’s gone they will be gone – me too!!! Now there’s just one more day to look around my Barryville site before AOL shut it down. I’ve had problems trying to update it for ages now which is why it looks a bit of a mess in places. Now I’m looking for a new ISP and new website host.

While shopping and researching on a smartphone or tablet are popular pastimes, making payments with a mobile device raises privacy concerns for the majority. 71.1% are concerned about security issues and location tracking when swiping a device to pay for a transaction, but most (56.9%) somewhat/strongly agree that this payment method would be convenient. Mobile Users appear to be more comfortable purchasing an item on a device using a web browser or app (57.5%) vs. the swipe payment method (43.9%).
Comparison shopping via smartphone or tablet will likely continue as many consumers have resolved to budget better in 2012some of them with the help of their mobile devices. Nearly 3 in 10 (28.3%) Mobile Users plan to use their smartphone or tablet to help keep their New Years Resolutions on track. The majority of those with mobile resolutions plan to use their mobile device to help them be on time (73.1%), utilizing calendars and alarms. 63.5% plan to use a smartphone or tablet to keep in touch with people while 51.4% will make use of budgeting apps to straighten out their finances.
