Google Adwords is a program where you get listed in search results for Google. And other search-engines that get advertisement from Google.

You create your account insert your advertisement. Choose the maximum you want to pay per click.

When your ad is live, you pay every time someone clicks your ad.

And of course you receive a targeted visitor on your website.

Google Adsense program is the other side of it. You have the possibility to set up an account with Google, and list advertisements from Google Adwords on your pages.

At the end of the day it all boils down to: You pay Google to place Adwords on Googles system.

And Google pays you for carry Adsense on your website.
