I recently found out that i cannot log in to my account either. I continued to email them with no response. They are a very poor company and i would tell everyone not to bother with Global Test Market and there affiliates Techsay and MothersKnowBest. Complete scam and a waster of your time because they will take all your money you earn.

Don’t discount all customers giving warning here and other sites, frustrated even angry at the way they were treated by GTM. The fact that you haven’t had this problem yet doesn’t lead to an obvious ‘no scam’ conclusion. It’s not on everyone Else’s end: Some had this problem and GTM corrected themselves. Sounds like they were called on it and are working to fix it.
For those asking, HarrisPolls, MySurvey, ZoomPanel are examples of some great survey places I’ve found. Cheers

The same here,I then asked that I be removed from their mailing list and they then went on to tell me that the information that I provided when joining did not match the info that I was giving them at the moment and thus could not do so.How do I get these jerk’s to stop spamming me?

Please share what you mean by “escalate”. Global Test Markets doesn’t post a phone# anywhere- the only means of contact is through 1 email address. I emailed them *many* times fully explaining what happened to me and even attached copies of the emails I had sent and received. No one attended to my issue and I received an apparent auto response they send to everyone, saying that I was at fault for fraudulent activity on my account and for holding multiple accounts. They then closed my account without looking into the matter or allowing me to respond that there was clearly mistake after mistake going on there at best. I’m seeing a pattern of many people being scammed out of reward for the time and effort they put into Global Test Market surveys (often after more than a year or longer).

100 points doesn’t cover it, and I’m suspicious that it isn’t just another way to get people to take more surveys for Global Test Markets with no rewards. Clearly, those of us who realize this scam had to have 1,000 or more points in our account in order to be in the position to redeem for a reward that never came. 100 points is hardly tempting. Several survey companies give you comperable points like that for starting a new account anyway, anyone would do better to avoid Global Test Markets altogether and go elsewhere.

If there truly is a mistake in their database, they need to correct it, –if they want me to return then they need to examine the multitude of emails they received from me personally, and from others like me, contact us back, and apologize.

Perhapse they could just begin by reading their emails rather than sending auto responses, or by sending the rewards they promise their participants in the first place.

For anyone else who encounters this same Global Test Market scam after the post about an eleged ‘correction in their database’ I do suggest you escalate, as I did, to the BBB online:

https://odr.bbb.org/odrweb/public/GetStarted.aspx

Nov 06, 2007 Escalate your issue. It worked for me.
by: Anonymous

Did you escalate your issue? I know they had a recent database error that accidentally suspended legitimate accounts.

GlobalTestMarket reactivated my account, and I received 100 MarketPoints for the inconvenience. I was also paid.

Oct 31, 2007 I recently got the same thing
by: Anonymous

I had been a member for over 2 years and been paid several times, but I was waiting for my next check and never got it. Maybe they are going through financial problems? I find it odd that they wait until you get over 1000 points before they suspend your account

Oct 31, 2007 Also scammed!
by: Anonymous

I had an account with enough points to receive a check. I tried to log in and it tells me that the information was not correct. I try to receive my password and it tells me that the information is not correct. I tried to sign up a new account and it tells me that my email is already registered but it can’t be found in the system when I try to get my password. I have contacted customer care and they can’t find the account but they keep giving me the run around. I think this is a bogus company and waste of my time. I do many other survey sites and have never had a problem.

Oct 31, 2007 I had same experience!
by: Anonymous

Stay away from those scammers! they are the ones who make money! I have also noticed that as soon as you about to reach 1000 points they would slow you down. When contacted they would deny that! I built a graph in Excel using data from me and 2 other people clearly showing how survey numbers slowing once you get about 900 points. Global Test Market is Global SCAM Ba#tar#s!

Oct 02, 2007 Same Story – Global Test Market is a Scam
by: Anonymous

They did the same to me, refusing to pay, making up a false story about multiple accounts. I suggest reporting them to Better Business Bureau, and the FBI site that handles internet fraud (the Internet Crime Complaint Center).

by: Anonymous

I have been a member of Global Test Markets for over a year. About a month ago, I tried to redeem my points for a check. A month later, I get a email from them saying that they are sorry, but my redemption check would be delayed another 4 weeks. I am starting to wonder if they are paying anyone. Possibly just collecting money from their clients. Now, I wonder when they will suspend my account. Maybe after seeing this entry.

by: Anonymous

The exact same thing happened to me this week. I was a member for over a year and was ready to redeem for a check. I received an email from them saying I had “multiple accounts” and that the evidence for this “must have been overwhelming”. They closed my account saying it was due to my fraudulent activity. This is completely untrue I never opened or used any other account. I reported them to the BBB after finding your page.

i was a member of global test market and received a total of 4 cheques from them. 2 months ago i requested another cheque and i was close to requesting a further cheque when all of a sudden i was unable to log into my account. i emailed them and eventually they emailed me back saying that i had more than one account with them and that they could prove it but they refused to show me the proof or even tell me what it was

last night i received a survey invite from them and completed the survey thinking that my account had been fixed up but today they tell me that my account wont be reinstated even though they are still inviting me to do their surveys! i was chatting to another friend earlier who told me that this company pays you a few times and then accuses you of having more than one account and cancels you without notice so they dont have to pay you. i hope no-one else gets treated like this

i have been receiving a lot of knock backs-do not qualify type ones for a while now from global test market. I’m at around 500 points now.not too long ago i completed a two part survey but did not get credited.i found out that because i did not complete an unknown third part which was just personal details i did not qualify.yesterday i completed a whole survey at which at the end was transferred to another page that said and appeared to upload the information i just gave.an hour later this page was still uploading.i sent an email to global test market to find out what was happening.i received a reply stating that the survey had finished and that the survey had received its maximum number of responses per category.it sounds as if they give you a few points to suck you in,then milk you for all you are worth.

You’ve kicked Global Test Market right where they will feel it…

I have done a quick investigation, it appears that you’re not alone, having complaints about that company.

All the best.

Stan,

I just requested in an email to the FrontDesk that my issue be escalated. I then got an email stating my account was re-opened because of the error. I got paid and have not had any problems since. Been a member for years now.

This group is terrible. They lose data all the time. They do not even employ https security for sign-up or login pages. This leaves your personal information open for hacking.

They also have their heads stuck in the sand when it comes to Internet technology advances. They send payment by postal service instead of Paypal or a dozen other electronic transfer solutions. They use to have decent payouts, but are starting to use sweepstakes entries instead of paying out points. The only reason anyone stayed with them in the past was their high payout. Now that they have reduced payouts I would rather spend my time with a competitor that has a much better community feeling utilizing today’s eCom solutions.

Oh and their surveys either never work or you never qualify for them.

I am now another person riped of person by this Site. I have been doing surveys successfully for nearly 12 months and now am very close to redeeming my points. I loged onto the site a week or so ago to find that my membership had been suspended. On contacting them I was advised that because their address was coming through as spam on my computer (how they know this not sure) that my site blocked them. Of cause this was not true. I contacted them continously untill a week ago they misterously reinstated my account. I completed another 3-4 surveys taking my point to almost redemption and my account was suspended again. Despite repeatly trying to contact them I have had no further responce from this site.
Do yourself a favour – DON”T WAIST YOUR TIME – this site is definatly a “SCAM”
