What are good goals for teaching- What do i want to accomplish as a teacher?

Wanting to make a difference with the future generation
Enjoy working with youths
Like to share your knowledge with others

Those are nice, but in real life your goals will be more like:
1. keeping your students on task
2. finding out who took someone’s pencil
3. determining who turned in a test without a name on it
4. making sure the students show their work in math
5. holding on for half an hour more until you can go the to restroom
It doesn’t matter what grade level you teach.
