What’s the difference between selling and customer service?

Selling, this is where you be kind to the buying representative. You need to sell the item at any and all costs, maybe even recommend yet another item, if S/he is buying something already. But even though you must sell it, be gentle and make him know he’s making a good purchase.
Customer Service, this is where you go out of your way to help a customer find something, even if its not in your store. You should help him, and be quick on the checkout line; becuase everyone is in a rush.
