@1eyehaventgotwait i got it, i forgot i first just saved the banner by itself as its own page, then i had the wrong page open

  4. 1eyehaventgot Says:

I don’t know why, but my page is only showing the banner area, not the side bar.

  5. 1eyehaventgot Says:

@naythan7 CSS is is just the style setting of html, either done between style tags in the head, or in a style attribute in a tag in the body.

Do you always design with tables and inline styles? Tables and inline CSS is a horrible way to code…

Good tutorial. I still use tables. Does anyone still use tables anymore? I don’t know CSS that well yet. I still design with dreamweaver. Should I just design by handing the code?

RoveMe, I believe he was creating this tutorial for basic HTML only. I would bet money that explaining just HTML would be more helpful for a HTML tutorial. No reason to confuse the learners with anything other than HTML, such as myself, I understand the basics, even a little CSS and so on, but I would rather start clean.

I’m not sure how to rate your video – for a beginner there are a lot of helpful tips and techniques, but most of it is unfortunately outdated. As I looked through your other videos, you already made css-tutorials. why not continue your design with a split of html and css-style?

one other thing: you put all your content in a table, if you want to change your layout someday, you have to change maybe everything. thats when div-tags come handy, where you can format and position them via css-tags
